gazebo7 software package provides Open Source Robotics Simulator - Binaries, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install gazebo7
gazebo7 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the gazebo7 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep gazebo7 *
You will get with gazebo7 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
